Kathleen Capone, EdD, MS, CNE, RN

Academic Network Director
Spiritual Care Coordinator

Dr. Capone’s extensive experience spans over 4 decades, focusing on education, curriculum development, and leadership. Her commitment to service is reflected in her involvement in mission trips to Guatemala, aiding in orphanage construction, and leading Bible studies for a decade. Additionally, she provides support to families as a member of her local Nurses Honor Guard and nurtures a supportive academic community through encouragement and prayer. At NI, she leads BSN program development and teaches online courses, integrating her dedication to nursing education with spiritual guidance, embodying a holistic approach to healthcare and education.

Susan Boyer, DNP, MEd, RN, NPD-BC, FAAN

Clinical Alliance Director

With 3 decades of experience in Nurse Professional Development, Dr Boyer brings a practice-based educator’s viewpoint to merge with NI’s curriculum offerings. She created the Clinical Alliance as a membership venue for sharing internship, orientation, preceptor development, and curriculum resources. Alliance networking ensures efficacy, currency, sustainability, and the evidence-base of the nurse competence and preceptor development framework. For several years, Dr Boyer has filled a volunteer role with Nurses International, and is currently NI’s Clinical Alliance Director.  She completed her DNP at Sentinel University and has shared her expertise through many publications and conference presentations.
